2. Am I going to be crucified for not having seen UTENA?
3. Tell me about the first time Yuuto realized Deneb loved him.
1. That's one of those things which I view as deeper than it really is. The tomato is a visually striking fruit which can be easily grown in large groupings, frequently in controlled environment, and most importantly, doesn't appear to have much symbolism attached in culture. As such, it's just a factory farm food, like the genetically engineers factor-farm "people."
2. It pains me still. You are not to be crucified, but Utena is really a context one must have to fully understand the current field of anime and especially anime criticism. Plus, it's bloody good.
3. Yuuto is yelling at Deneb about the meal, as usual, and looks at Deneb and sees him for the first time, before Deneb can hide the fact Yuuto's comments really hurt him. Yuuto didn't stop loosing his temper (Deneb would have suspected something), but he watched Deneb and moderated his comments.
10-hour shift tonight. At least I'll get to finish Slings & Arrows and start Slayers.
