I've been vacillating between wallpapers a lot lately. I've kept my Black & White (also known as Purposefully Slashy Taiwanese Miami Vice) one for the longest now, about three weeks. I felt like going with something simple and bright after weeks of busy and/or detail-filled wallpapers. Also, Vic Zhou in a pink tuxedo shirt.

It is one of my Buddhist things to enjoy the many ways in which Oblivious White Americans decide it is a-okay to reappropriate Buddhism.

However, my enjoyment ends when they decide to pair it with racist caricature.

(Also, it should be noted that the NR's comparison rather hilariously displays a total ignorance of actual Buddhist teaching - arbitration, especially the judicial variety, is inherently not-Buddhist.)

Dungeon Siege? I still play that occasionally.

That magazine cover is so ridiculously racist. I hope that more people see how ridiculously racist the republicans are because of the way they talk about and portray Judge Sotomayor than agree with their ridiculous racism.

I got it in the Dollar Tree bin - I always wanted to play it when it came out, so I took my chance when it appeared. Sadly, I'm not the ideal player for it, really - I made what would normally be an ideal 5-man group, but then Nature magic users never leveled up with heals, which drove me mad. Also, I was always micromanaging, which I, a dyed-in-the-wool DPS-er, despise.

Dungeon Siege 2 is a lot better for all of that.

I'm surprised you were micromanaging so much, though. The game practically plays itself. My fun came from trying to design levels with wacky effects (colored fog, orchestral music triggers, ominous everything).

But yes, it's not a great game (or, in a lot of ways, well-designed). In some ways, it's more of a demo for an even better game that was never made.

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to details, but there were levels where I did just let the game run itself. However, because I ran a balanced 5-man, I think I was also playing a rather weak group for the game itself, with less firepower and more healpower than necessary.

Yeah, slightly. You can have up to 8 characters, and most people go for one or two packmules. The game's doable with six characters, so five shouldn't be so bad, unless you have two characters healing.
